Metalith Blast Mitigation Test Videos
Our initial Metalith blast mitigation testing was performed at the Energetic Materials Research and Testing Center (EMRTC) located in Socorro New Mexico. These blast mitigation tests were performed in early 2004.
The Test 1 videos show a high order detonation that was tested against Metalith barriers with 20-foot, 40-foot, 80-foot, and 160-foot standoff.
The Test 2 videos show a smaller high order detonation that was tested against a Metalith barrier from a standoff distance of 3 feet.
In all test scenarios, the Metalith barriers provided significant blast wave attenuation and would also stop a follow on attack.
