What does a K12 DOS Certification mean?Per the U.S. Department of State's Physical Security SD-STD-02.01 guidelines, Revision A, the test must include a 15,000 pound crash vehicle, traveling at 50 mph (80 kph) and that vehicle must impact a wall or barrier at a 90° angle. To obtain the U.S. Department of State's K12 rating, the crash vehicle must not penetrate through the barrier, wall, or gate more than 36 inches from the point of impact.
